Timmerman West connects to the Oak Leaf Trail, a multi-use trail system stretching for 135 miles. This leads into the Menomonee River Parkway, which follows those calm waters with paved paths and natural surface trails. “It's a great place to enjoy the river and the sights and sounds of nature. You'll see a lot of people from the community out,” says Tyler Zwagerman with the Community Development department of Menomonee Falls. North of the neighborhood, Dretzka Park spans over 300 acres and features a public 18-hole golf course and a 27-hole disc golf course.

I-41 also connects to Interstate 94, which leads to downtown Milwaukee, about 15 miles away. The Milwaukee County Transit System has several stops along Silver Spring Drive and Hampton Avenue.
