Archery, robotics and specialized academies

Served by the Mobile County Schools District, local students attend Elsie Collier Elementary School, Bernice J. Causey Middle School and Baker High School. Both the elementary and middle schools earned a B on Niche. Elsie Collier offers an archery team, a collaboration lab for interactive and digital learning and an annual block party. Earning an overall B-plus on Niche and ranked the No. 3 high school in Mobile County, Baker High provides baseball and softball teams, a robotics club and 10 academies, including marine sciences and engineering.

Youth baseball and the West Mobile Swim Club

Pierce Creek residents enjoy picnicking, fishing or paddling around the expansive lake in the middle of the neighborhood. And while there aren’t any parks directly within the boundaries, Westside Park is just a 5-mile drive away, where residents can catch a youth baseball game, let the kids play or stroll around the park’s paved paths. Cold pints and live music at Boondock's Bar & Grill

Airport Boulevard is a hub for shopping and dining. Residents can get a classic burger and fries at Whataburger. Or they can grab a cold pint, listen to live music and cheer on the Alabama Crimson Tide at Boondock’s Bar & Grill. Joe’s Piza & Pasta is also a popular spot with locals, and residents can enjoy a sweet treat from Southern Cream, an upscale ice cream truck. In the Vigouroux Marketplace shopping center, residents can get essentials at Winn-Dixie, Walgreens or Rite-Aid. The strip also boasts a hair salon, Subway and gas station. For more diverse shopping, head 5 miles up Airport Boulevard to the Mobile Flea Market, the Gulf Coast’s largest flea market, which boasts about 800 vendors from all over the world. Airport Boulevard connection to many amenities

Most shopping and dining options are easily accessible by hopping on Airport Boulevard, the southern border of the neighborhood. The route also gets residents to the University of South Alabama in 8 miles and Springhill and Providence Hospital in 7 miles. Pierce Creek’s proximity to Interstate 10 also allows residents to easily get around the rest of the broader Mobile area. The neighborhood is a 20-mile drive via I-10 to downtown Mobile for top dining and attractions and the beautiful Dog River and Mobile Bay.
