Historic university town with well-maintained homes and thriving local businesses
Lush countryside surrounds the academic buildings and local businesses in Montevallo. The community had been a mining and agricultural town since the early 1800s. It continued to grow after the founding of what is now the University of Montevallo. Its presence brought economic stability to the town during the Great Depression and has since been invaluable to the local economy. The University sits just north of the main city, in proximity to the community’s established houses and lively local businesses.
Forested homes close to schools and major freeways

EXP Realtor Matthew Farris calls Montevallo “a very nice home community, close to major freeways.” Montevallo’s home prices range from $210,000 for smaller homes to as much as $537,000 for larger ranch-style houses.
