Great McGehee Estates
Classic American architecture
Houses in Great McGehee Estates are usually mid-century homes with classic architecture like Cape Cods, Colonial Revivals and ranch-styles. "Many of the homes are older, but they are highly desirable because of the location," Smith says. The more modest and older dwellings in the area usually cost between $170,000 and $340,000, while the larger, more expansive properties typically range from $350,000 to $575,000. There are a few estate houses measuring more than 5,000 square feet; those will cost over a million dollars. Bushy oak trees taller than the homes fill the area, while sidewalks line most roadways. Many houses include a driveway or garage, but street parking also is available.Next door to the Montgomery Academy
