Montgomery Regional Airport is about 12 miles southwest and accommodates commuter, military and private aircraft. The community is mostly residential, but it's close to shopping and dining areas. "Vaughn Road is right there, and the intersections have tons of restaurants and retail," Smith says. Publix and Fresh Market are nearby grocery stores. The Seafood Bistro serves Cajun fried and boiled seafood, receiving high marks for the shrimp po boy and calamari. Along Zelda Road is La Zona Rosa, a colorful Mexican cantina with happy-hour specials. Patrons enjoy the margaritas, queso and fajitas, while also praising the service. Cork and Cleaver is a popular area for drinks and brunch. Shrimp and grits among the menu favorites. Major chains like CAVA and Crumbl Cookie are also nearby.
