Convenient living in Chaparral Hills
Chaparral Hills is a suburban community on the west side of the Moreno Valley. Bordering Interstate 215 and March Air Reserve Base, the neighborhood has modest homes, pocket parks and is within walking distance to public schools. Like the rest of the city, Chaparral Hills has a diverse population with many restaurants, shops and markets. “It’s a great little neighborhood,” says Rachael Nol, a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Town and Country Real Estate with 11 years of experience. “There’s a massive park over there, a shopping center within walking distance and it’s close to the 60 freeway.”
Ranch-style and tract homes in a suburban neighborhood
The neighborhood landscape is often painted in beige, brown and terra cotta tones, and some streets are lined with palm trees that create a calm and tropical feel. Most homes were built in the 1970s and 1980s, with some new developments in the mix. Housing styles range from ranch-styles with Spanish influence, Mediterranean Revivals, Spanish Revivals and New Traditionals. Single-family properties here typically go from $450,000 to $650,000, and most lot sizes are around 7,000 to 9,000 square feet. Newer homes in subdivisions are usually more expensive and have monthly HOA fees. Sidewalks often line the residential streets, which is convenient for evening walks with pets. Residents are also recommended to purchase homeowners’ insurance to protect against wildfires, earthquakes and other natural disasters.
