The wide, flat streets of Hendrick Ranch are lined with native palms, Italian cypress and native California plants, with the foothills of the San Jacinto Mountains serving as a backdrop. Many homes in Hendrick Ranch were built between 1980 and 1990, but new construction was slowly introduced throughout the 21st century. Architecture varies, but Spanish Revival, New Traditional and ranch homes are the most common styles. Renovated manufactured homes can sell as low as $150,000 to $200,000, but prices for the neighborhood's single-family homes sit between $450,000 and $600,000. "It's not just the selling price people need to be thinking about, but how much the insurance adds," Garzon says. "Fire insurance for the larger, newer homes, mostly closer to the rural areas, is at an all-time high."

From sports courts to lakeside days, Hendrick Ranch offers diverse outdoor recreation
Woodland Park offers diverse recreational options in a well-maintained community green space. It has two playgrounds, one designed with safety features for much younger children, alongside basketball and tennis courts, a baseball field, walking paths and open grassy areas. Lake Perris State Recreation Area, which covers over 8,800 acres of water, beach areas and scenic hilly landscape, is just 6 miles south. The rocky terrain has several miles of trails, and Lake Perris is popular for boating and fishing.

Schools within reach and exploring career paths at Vista del Lago High School
Hendrick Ranch falls under the Moreno Valley Unified School District. The neighborhood's Hendrick Ranch Elementary School and nearby Badger Springs Middle School hold C ratings on Niche. Vista del Lago High School, just south of the community, receives a B rating and offers six career pathways, such as engineering and healthcare, for students to explore as they prepare for education beyond high school. Vista del Lago also offers the Middle College Program in partnership with the River Community College District, allowing students to take a mixture of core high school courses and college classes.

The area offers several commuting options by bus or car
Two of the city's main roads, Cactus Avenue and Alessandro Boulevard, run through Hendrick Ranch and connect to Interstate 215. Several city bus stops are dotted along Alessandro and Perris Boulevard. The community is almost directly bordered by the Riverside University Health System Medical Center and its surrounding plaza, providing emergency and specialty care.Errand runs and meals at local restaurants, all within the community
A small retail area with several strip plazas is at the intersection of Perris and Alessandro boulevards, including well-known stops, such as Ross, Walgreens and Dollar Tree, and a few grocery stores. The plazas feature local restaurants, from the bright pink walls and fast counter service at La Bamba Sabor Latino Pupuseria to the laidback atmosphere of Pho Hà, a family-run Vietnamese eatery.
