Rainbow Ridge is close to jobs, dining and retail
Cohesive suburbia coexists with commerce in Rainbow Ridge. Located off Perris Boulevard, this Moreno Valley neighborhood features contemporary housing close to retail, dining and warehouses of major companies. Residents are within walking distance of a neighborhood park and two public schools, and the homes maintain prices that skew lower than those in nearby cities like Riverside and Loma Linda. “One good thing that keeps the Moreno Valley economy and real estate market going is we’re super affordable,” says Justin King, a Realtor with Nest Real Estate who grew up in the area.

Neighborhood homes share a cohesive Mediterranean style
Rainbow Ridge is dominated by houses with Mediterranean-style influences, including terra-cotta roofs. “The houses are a bit more uniform, a lot of them are 1,700 square feet and up,” King says. Most were built in the 1980s and 1990s, but some homes sprung up in the last decade, including newer homes in the Legacy Park subdivision. Sidewalks line streets all over Rainbow Ridge, adding an element of walkability. Properties in the area go for $400,000 to $800,000.

Residents have quick access to stops in the region’s Riverside Transit Agency bus system, which has almost 30 RTA routes. “They’re always running,” King says. “I know a lot of the school kids use them because they can ride for free with a school ID.” Rainbow Ridge is about 4 miles from Interstate 215, for commutes to places including neighboring Riverside. The southern half of Rainbow Ridge is becoming a hub for jobs, too, with distribution centers for companies like Amazon, Lowe’s, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Sam’s Club. “It’s starting to [be a hub],” King says. “They’ve been adding those warehouses over the last 10 years.”
