Award-winning flowers and forest preserves
Morton Grove is known for its trees, forest preserves that makeup about 20% of the land, and renowned greenhouses that grow award-winning flowers. “The winning rose from the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis was grown here in Morton Grove,” says Mark Matz, the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. The village now stands as a residential community where birds fill the trees and music from the summer concerts in the park fills the air. Morton Grove is about 17 miles northwest of Chicago and the first Metra Train stop past the windy city. People moving to Morton Grove will find a mix of older, historic areas dating back over a century and newer, developing areas, faith-based institutions and local businesses.

The Morton Grove Park District also manages concerts and park events throughout the summer, as well as other events like a sustainability fair and the Chamber of Commerce’s spring and fall market fares.
