Dog-friendly community
South Temple is a peaceful community where people can enjoy strolling the sidewalks and walking their dogs, "It is very community-oriented," says eXp Realtor Taj Simmons, who has sold many homes here over the years. "It's also conveniently located near shopping and dining, so you have the best of both worlds," Simmons says. Temple is budget-friendly, a good opportunity for first-time buyers, Simmons says.
Mainly single-family homes
Though there are a few condos, South Temple mainly comprises single-family homes. Architectural styles vary, depending on the home's age and location; however, there is a mix of bungalows, ranch-style and Colonial Revival. Prices here run from $188,000 to $351,000. Most backyards are ¼ to 1/3 of an acre. For $359,000, a buyer can get a 3,837-square-foot home with five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. South Temple streets, laid out in a grid pattern, are wide and tree lined. The lawns are neat and manicured, and there are sidewalks. Not all homes have garages, so residents must park in the driveway or on the street.
