Two suburbs-four subdivisions
Located in the Chicago suburbs of Naperville and Lisle, the Huntington Hill neighborhood comprises four subdivisions: Huntington Hill, Huntington Estates, Olesen Estates and Green Trails. Naper Boulevard runs north and south, acting as the dividing line between the two suburbs with areas east of that road, considered Lisle. West of Naper Boulevard is Naperville. “Even if the physical address is Lisle, the whole area is part of the Naperville School District,” says Maureen Flavin, a real estate broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices with seven years of experience. “That’s important because Naperville schools are considered one of the best.”

A-plus school chain
Rated the second-best school district in Illinois out of over 400, Naperville Community Unit School Number 203 is rated an A-plus, as are the schools that are part of the public education chain in the neighborhood. Highlands Elementary School has a 14-to-1 student-teacher ratio and is rated the second-best elementary school in the state. Kennedy Junior High School is in Lisle and is part of the Naperville School District. The school has nearly 1,000 students in grades six through eight and has what is called a Learning Commons. As some students call It, the LC appears as a casual library, but there are also read-aloud sessions and book clubs. Naperville North High School has nearly 2,700 students and a 99% graduation rate. Ann Reid Early Childhood Center is also part of the public school system and takes children as young as three. The Gardner School of Naperville North is a private preschool that accommodates kids from infants to kindergarten.

The school has over 3,000 students and 16 Division III athletic programs. The campus includes a renovated quad area, including walkways surrounded by landscaped grass. While most of the student body is from the Chicago area or the state of Illinois, 50 states and more than 15 countries are represented among the students' hometowns.

East of Naper Boulevard
The subdivision east of Naper Boulevard is Green Trails in Lisle. “It’s an appropriate name for this subdivision because it’s full of trails that connect parks and neighborhood streets,” Flavin says. “I’ve seen it used by walkers, joggers and bikers.” The parks that the trails connect to include Valley Forge, New Albany, Hampshire Parks, and the 13-acre Surrey Ridge Sports Complex, primarily a baseball facility. Houses in this area were built in the 1970s, and some have been renovated within the past five years. The price range is from $400,000 to $650,000 with tri-level, Colonial Revival and ranch-style.

Additional outdoor recreation
There’s fishing in the pond at Abbeywood Park, south of the Benedictine University campus. Paved walking trails will ensure daily steps are achieved. A playground under a canopy of trees will help prevent metal equipment from getting too hot during the summer. There are also basketball, tennis and pickleball courts.
