The highlight of life in Verona Walk is the Town Center in the middle of the community. The shopping plaza has resident-exclusive shops and hosts events like a weekly farmers market. “You have an ice cream shop, an Italian restaurant, their own gas station, a beauty shop and a post office,” says Nina Burkhardt, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty, who has worked in Naples for over 20 years. “You don’t have to leave to do much because you have the Town Center. It’s really what sells people on the area.” Outside Verona Walk, Stock Plaza on Collier Boulevard has casual restaurants, like Skillets and Off the Rock Tavern, and finer dining, like Saki Japanese Kitchen. The closest larger grocery stores are Publix and The Fresh Market on Tamiami Trail. The major road also has houses of worship, including St. Demetrius Orthodox Church and Lely Presbyterian Church.

Verona Walk features one-story villa units, two-story townhouses and detached single-family homes with lanai-screened patios and pools. All these properties have a coastal, Mediterranean-inspired look, with peach and white-colored exteriors and tile roofs. Nearly every property has a view of Verona Walk’s central lake, which is surrounded by palm-shaded walking paths and bridges. These walkways connect every residential street to the Town Center. Villas and townhouses sell for $450,000 to $650,000, while single-family homes can be $600,000 to $1 million. While Verona Walk does not have its own golf courses, many tee time options are nearby. Public courses, like Lely Resort’s Mustang and Flamingo Island courses, and equity golf, like The Classic Country Club and Eagle Creek Golf, are within 2 miles. The community is inland and about 15 miles from the closest public beach, Lowdermilk Park. During Naples’ tourist season, which falls between January and April, driving to the shore can take twice as long as it does during the summer. “Some people used to have to drive four hours to the beach where they lived before, so they don’t mind being 45 minutes away on a busy day in the winter,” says Michael Barnebee, a Realtor with Waterfront Realty Group who has lived in Naples for over 25 years.
