Hilly terrain and winding roads
Cars drive slower and things are quieter in Northwest Nashville, a suburb about 7 miles from Music City. The area is hilly, which lends itself to a few different picturesque event spaces and some houses that sit on rolling green acreage. Highways surround the town, making it easy to travel and commute into and around the city. “It's one of the few areas around Nashville that is still affordable, where you can find a house for under $400,000 and still be 10 minutes from downtown,” says Steven Russell, a Realtor at Reliant Realty Era Powered with 20 years of experience in the region.
Ranch homes and Farmhouse Revivals
In the residential areas, an assortment of architectural styles exists. Older brick ranch and raised ranch homes, Farmhouse Revivals and Colonial Revivals, many with attached garages and driveways and some set back on hills with expansive flat lawns, range from 1,500 to 3,500 square feet in size and $300,000 to around $700,000 in price. Newer townhome developments with units around 1,700 square feet can be found for $400,000 to about $550,000. The terrain and industry are very different from nearby Nashville, which was done on purpose. “This area of Davidson County is not very developed because it was developed last, and people want to keep it that way,” says Michael Allison, owner of Nashville Glassblowing and 15-year resident of the area.

Wedding venues and music festivals
Just north of town are a few venues and farms off Eatons Creek Road. “There are quite a few family-owned farms around here that grow produce and sell it at local markets and restaurants,” says Allison. Flowers’ Farm is both a garden center and a deer processing center. Woodland Hollow at Annie Acres has a spacious wedding event space. Further Farms is a farm and outdoor venue that hosts different eclectic markets and music festivals throughout the year.
