Needville is a quiet but growing town outside of Houston and Rosenburg
Needville is a small farming town located southeast of Houston in Fort Bend County. While the community is quiet, it has gradually added new housing as growth has expanded outward beyond Houston's borders. It's location is also within driving distance of larger job centers and shopping hubs such as Rosenberg and Sugar Land, while still offering more space and a slower pace of life.
Various single-family home styles with new inventory underway
Single-family home architecture includes ranch styles, cottages and New Traditionals. The median housing price is in the mid-$400,000s, higher than the state and national medians. Most prices typically range from the low $200,000s to the mid-$700,000s. Inventory also tends to sell more slowly. Several new home communities, such as Tejas Landing and Harvest Pointe, have also been built.
“It's a rural community that has a lot of growth that is coming to the area,” says Larry Loesch, a real estate agent with REALM Real Estate Professionals, who lives in Needville. “People want to move out into the rural areas.”
Homes are typically on gridded streets with larger than average lots and oak trees accenting lawns. Some subdivisions have minimal tree cover. Several properties also have in-ground pools. Properties with more acreage and farmsteads is on the outskirts. Some subdivisions are also HOA-controlled.
