A mixed-use neighborhood in central New Hope
Elm Grove is a mostly industrial section of New Hope with some single-family housing and apartments mixed in. The neighborhood is home to employers like mechanical contractors Horwitz LLC and Millwood Inc.’s pallet manufacturing facility, meaning many residents move here to live close to work. Elm Grove is surrounded by pocket parks on all sides, providing convenient access to green space, and it's also home to the New Hope Ice Arena, an indoor ice-skating rink for both figure skating and hockey. Elm Grove is a neighborhood within New Hope, a 22,000-person city just 11 miles northwest of Minneapolis. “It’s a very diverse and supportive community,” says Council Member Michael Isenberg. “I’m on my second term on city council, so I’ve passed out a lot of literature and talked to a lot of people, and almost everyone I’ve come across is very happy to be a part of New Hope and is happy that new people are coming here and joining our community.”

Robbinsdale Area Schools
Students in Elm Grove attend Meadow Lake Elementary, which earns a C grade from Niche, followed by the B-minus-rated Plymouth Middle School and the C-plus-rated Cooper High School. Cooper High offers AP classes, an International Baccalaureate program and early college credit for courses in culinary arts and business.
Robbinsdale Cooper Senior High School enrolls over 1,700 students in grades 9-12.
Plymouth Middle has 18% of students proficient in math and 55% proficient in reading.

New Hope Ice Arena and nearby parks
Elm Grove is home to the New Hope Ice Arena, a claim to fame for the city. “The New Hope Ice Arena is a community gem of not only the [city of] New Hope but also the metro area,” says Mayor John Elder. “With two sheets of ice and a beautiful barrel-style roof, the arena hosts hockey and skating events for all levels. Home of the New Hope Skating School, lessons are available for all ages and abilities.” Small pocket parks also surround the neighborhood. Those living on the north side are closest to Elm Grove Park, while those on the east side are closest to Iron Horse Park. To the south, Sunnyside Park or Forest Park are the two nearest options, while Little Acre Park and Begin Park are found on the west. For most residents, one or more of these parks is less than a mile away.
The New Hope Ice Arena has two rinks and is open for community residents.
Elm Grove Park has large playground and is located near St Raphael Church in the Beck neighborhood.

Crystal Shopping Center
Elm Grove is also a mile away from the Crystal Shopping Center, a strip mall with a mix of local and chain restaurants and retailers. Tequila Town Authentic Mexican Cuisine provides a sit-down option for dinner, and Jin’s Chow Mein is an easy choice for weeknight takeout. Fast-food chains like Popeyes, Taco Bell and Subway are also located here. Groceries are available at Target and Supermercado y Panaderia LomaBonita, a local Mexican grocery store and bakery.
