Liberty Park is a small neighborhood in northwest New Hope, a first-ring suburb of Minneapolis. Formerly a farming community, New Hope is now a busy city with shops, restaurants and homes. The Liberty Park neighborhood is almost entirely residential and is comprised primarily of single-family homes, many of which feature midcentury designs. Despite its cozy feel, public transit, major highways, restaurants and stores are all just a short drive away. “There are a lot of things to do in a very small area,” says Dan Salamone, a Realtor with RG LPT.

Local bus routes and highway access makes for quick trips to Minneapolis
Metro Transit has a number of stops along Boone Avenue, which is the eastern boundary of Liberty Park, as well as an express bus that runs to and from downtown Minneapolis. Despite the public transportation options, the neighborhood is still primarily car dependent. Liberty Park is also bordered by State Highway 169, which runs north to south and connects residents with State Highway 55 and Interstate 94, which leads to Minneapolis. “It’s a quick jaunt from Minneapolis, whether you’re coming from downtown or anywhere else,” Salamone says. Liberty Park is about 12 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
Brazilian steakhouse, surf and turf, grocery stores within a few miles away
Liberty Park is a very residential, and while there are no shops or restaurants directly within the neighborhood, they’re all close by. For a morning pick-me-up, Starbucks and Dunkin’ are both about 2 miles away. In the same area, residents will also find restaurants like Tequila Town, which serves Mexican fare, and Captain Hook Fish & Chicken. A popular choice for dinner is Grill Hall, a Brazilian steakhouse located about 1 mile away. The Crystal Shopping Center is also nearby, and has big-box options like Target, as well as small-scale retailers, including a pet store, a nail salon, a hair salon and a furniture store. For groceries, Hy-Vee is 3 miles away and Aldi is 2 miles away. “You don’t have to go too far to get to anything,” says Salamone.
Hy-Vee serves as one of New Hope's local grocery stores in the area.
Tequila Town serves authentic Mexican food and has ample seating.

Multiple parks are within walking distance from Liberty Park
Most homes in New Hope are within walking distance of a park, and Liberty Park is no exception. There’s its namesake Liberty Park, located in the center of the neighborhood, and is within a 10-minute walk of most residences. It also has a playground, basketball court, baseball diamond and dog park. Meadow Lake Park also borders the eastern side of the neighborhood and has pickleball courts, baseball diamonds and playgrounds.
Liberty Park has two playgrounds and open green space.
Kids of all ages will love playing at Meadow Lake Park.

Affordable housing on quiet streets in Liberty Park
Liberty Park is home to quiet streets, mature trees, tidy lawns and simple landscaping. Houses typically feature split-level and rambler styles and are situated on lots that are about a quarter-of-an-acre in size. The neighborhood is laid out in such a fashion that homes are close to one another but there’s still plenty of yard space for a trampoline or other toys. The median sales price in Liberty Park is around $350,000, which is below the national median, but prices can vary depending on factors like size and condition. Most homes are priced between $250,000 and $400,000.
Some split level homes in Liberty Park have tuck under garages while others are attached.
Ramblers are the second most prevalent homestyle in the liberty Park neighborhood.

Robbinsdale Area Schools have magnet, Spanish immersion options
Students in this neighborhood are part of the Robbinsdale Area Schools system, which earns a B-minus rating on Niche. They will likely attend Meadow Lake Elementary School, which earns a C, Plymouth Middle, which earns a B-minus and Cooper High, which earns a C-plus. There are also a number of magnet elementary schools in the district, including the Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School and the School of Engineering and Arts.
Robbinsdale Cooper Senior High School enrolls over 1,700 students in grades 9-12.
Meadow Lake Elementary School enrolls just over 500 students.
