Northwood West
Northwood West offers more affordable suburban housing
The quiet streets are all relatively short, inhibited by Northwood Lake which sits at the center of the neighborhood, and large mature trees line the streets providing share. There are a variety of home designs in the neighborhood, including ramblers, split-levels, Colonial Revivals and townhouses. Most of the single-family homes have landscaped front yards and back yards big enough for a patio and a playground. The market is slow, with townhouses for sale more often than single-family homes. The median price for a townhouse is $190,000 and the median for a single-family home is $350,000, which is below the national median. “The affordable price tag of homes for sale and the low turnover of residents can make it difficult to find a home to purchase in these neighborhoods,” Carmack said.Abundance of parks and recreation areas in Northwood West

The Bassett Creek Regional Trail is a walking trail that contours the lake and Bassett Creek, and visitors often spot turtles sunbathing or swimming here.
