High-marks at Pasco County Schools
Students in New Port Richey go to the Pasco County School District, which earns a B-plus rating according to Niche. “There are a lot of other positives about River Ridge. People with families like it very much because schools in the area are good,” Evans says. Schools include Cypress Elementary School, River Ridge Middle School and River Ridge High School. The elementary school earns a B-minus grade, the middle school has a B and the high school has a B-plus on Niche. The high school has unique clubs like Students Protecting Land and Sea Habitats and Royal Robotics.
Paddle on the lake at Moon Lake Park
To spend time outside in sunny Florida, locals can visit recreation spaces like Moon Lake Park, which features a beach, fishing and a boat ramp where people can launch kayaks or canoes. The Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park sprawls over hiking trails and mountain biking trails through a wide range of scenery from swamps to forests teeming with wildlife. Both parks also have playgrounds and picnic pavilions.

The annual Chasco Festival
