Though it’s grown slowly over 30 years, Bowers says the neighborhood is now in its final development phase. “So when that’s done, Pheasant Ridge is completed.” The neighborhood offers a collection of townhomes, but traditional two-story and ranch-style homes are the most common styles. “Home prices aren’t in the upper range,” Bowers says. “But they’re higher than some other areas.” Townhouses typically sell between $230,000 and $300,000, while single-family homes sell between $300,000 and $490,000. The median home price is $299,900, up 1% from the previous year.Fransen Nature Area, Carden Park and the Constitution Trail

The group also offers scholarships to graduating seniors who previously attended Prairieland Elementary. Pheasant Ridge middle schoolers attend Parkside Junior High School, which earns a B. Normal Community West High School earns a B-plus and hosts a girls soccer team that’s won four Big Twelve Conferences and qualified for two Illinois High School Association State Tournaments. Students continuing their education beyond secondary school have their choice of schools. “Illinois State is bikeable from Pheasant Ridge,” Bowers says. “Same with Heartland and Illinois Wesleyan.”Interstate 55 just north of the neighborhood
