Neighborhood in North Bend, Washington

Ramblers and bi-levels surrounded by nature
Riverbend has a woodsy backdrop, with tall trees shading most of the streets and houses. Sidewalks are non-existent, and streets connect to gravel or grass patches. Houses, mostly ramblers, split-level homes and bi-levels built between 1970 and the 1990s, typically sit on small lots of less than an acre, separated by fencing or patches of trees and bushes. One-car garages, driveways, front yards and side sheds are typical. Prices can range from $500,000 to $900,000, but custom properties can cost over $1 million. The neighborhood also has a CAP Index crime score of 1 out of 10, the lowest possible ranking.Close by to three North Bend trails
With the river, neighborhood parks and nearby recreation areas, Riverbend residents can maintain an active lifestyle. The South Fork Snoqualmie River has spots for swimming and rafting, and the neighborhood also has a small lake with picnic areas and green space. Kelly Park is the area’s neighborhood park, home to a playground and a community garden. The South Fork Landing Park is west of the neighborhood; it’s a former golfing area converted into an 18-hole disc golf course. Hikers and bikers up for a challenge can take the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, which spans 31 miles. Other popular trails include the Mount Si Trail and the Snake Ledge Trail, both used for hiking and biking.Six career pathways at Mount Si High
Students are assigned to the Snoqualmie Valley School District. They can begin their education at Edwin R. Opstad Elementary School, which earns an A-minus grade from Niche, before moving on to Twin Falls Middle School, which also earns an A-minus and offers 11 different clubs and activities. Mount Si High is also rated A-minus; it has six career pathways for students, including agriculture, business and skilled and technical science.South of Interstate 90
Residents will need a car to get around. “People who live here work everywhere. They’re going to Seattle, Bellevue and Redmond; they’re all over,” Davis says. “Living in North Bend gives you the best access to major employers.” Interstate 90 is just north of the neighborhood and takes drivers 35 miles to Seattle. The Snoqualmie Valley Transit provides shuttle buses through North Bend for $1, and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is 36 miles away. Travelers have nonstop flight options to 94 domestic and 33 international destinations.Across the street from the popular South Fork
Riverbend residents will likely head towards North Bend’s downtown for dining. However, Riverbend is across from South Fork, a popular New American restaurant with a large outdoor space for relaxing on summer nights. “South Fork is about a minute and a half away for these guys; it’s the place to be,” Davis says. The establishment also does live music every Thursday and monthly trivia. Downtown is about 3 miles away; restaurants there include Huxdotter Coffee, a local chain serving breakfast and lunch. Iron Duck Public House has 20 rotating taps and more than 300 whiskeys. QFC and Safeway are grocery store options 4 miles from the neighborhood; residents can also shop at the North Bend Premium Outlets, which has 33 stores and restaurants, including Nike, Coach and GAP.
