Buyers will find a market of classic midcentury ramblers and split-levels, built from the 1930s through the ‘80s. Erie Canal Commons is a strip mall to the north with several fast-casual restaurants. “I was counting how many spots you can have lunch in Gates, I think it was more than 25,” Hastings says. “A lot of spots are by Gates Center, Buffalo Road and Pixley Road, with the Tinseltown theater and restaurants.” Cinemark Tinseltown Rochester and IMAX is along Pixley Road, screening the latest movies.
