Appreciated for its accessibility to turnpikes and parkways, residents can access outside shopping, dining, recreation and employment. “Within a half hour, you could be in Manhattan, on the beach, in the mountains in lower Westchester,” says Lisa Walsh, an associate broker at Floral Homes, Inc., who grew up in New Hyde Park and sells real estate in both locations. “Within a few hours, you can be skiing the slopes in upstate New York or hobnobbing with celebrities in the Hamptons.” Residents also appreciate shopping, dining and recreation, with restaurants and strip malls lining major roadways and the Spring Rock Golf Center in their backyard.
