Welcoming neighborhood becoming a destination for growing families
Climbing the hills of the Blackstone River Valley, about 12 miles east of Worcester, is Northbridge. This neighborhood, part of the Worcester County town by the same name, is full of sizable modern homes on spacious lots, offering residents suburban peace without sacrificing commuting convenience. “I would recommend Northbridge to anyone looking for a home to grow into. It’s very family-oriented, and there’s a lot of nice new subdivisions,” says Barbara Rybicki, a Realtor with Re/Max Executive Realty and a longtime resident of neighboring Grafton. “There’s a multicultural feel to the town, and it has a very active community holding activities year-round,” Rybicki adds. Buyers are taking notice of the friendly atmosphere here. Rybicki notes, “Single-family homes are being scooped up quick.”

Colonial Revival, New Traditional and ranch-style homes
Houses here sit on winding residential streets adorned with mature trees and some blocks featuring sidewalks for a morning walk or run. Well-manicured lawns often stretch at least 4/10 of an acre and can sometimes spread well over an acre. Buyers will find Colonial Revival, New Traditional and ranch-style homes from under a thousand square feet to nearly 3,500 square feet. Some houses date back to the early portion of the 20th century, but many were built from the 1980s and on. The area has seen new development in recent years with the addition of townhouses and condominiums. Prices for a single-family home range from around $300,000 up to $950,000. Demand here is high, intensified by low inventory, reflecting the trend seen around the region. “Everything is going really fast right now. There’s a lot of competitiveness,” Rybicki says.

Shining Rock Golf Club lies at the heart of the neighborhood. “People who love to be outdoors and golfers find the community very attractive,” says Rybicki.
