Northlake was once little more than a handful of ranches and a lot of open space. But these days, instead of mud-covered boots tromping the land, bailing hay and herding cattle, you'll find brand-new Nikes strolling wide sidewalks, walking dogs and pushing baby strollers in a series of master-planned communities. "I like to call it 'distant suburban' because you feel like you're in the country, but it's close to a lot of things like Alliance Town Center, the Amazon warehouses and downtown Denton," says Bianca Callahan of RJ Williams & Company RE LLC., a Realtor who was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and sells consistently in the Northlake community. “It’s really peaceful.”

Born in Killeen, TX, Jeremy is a native Texan who was raised in Southern California but made his way back to Texas as soon as he could. He initially got into real estate in 2003 and quickly got out in 2006 when the market crash started in the High Desert of California. That led him to start a career at BNSF Railway where he worked for almost 10 years, moving up the ranks from a Train Conductor to a Train Dispatcher and eventually a Chief Dispatcher.
After moving to Texas in 2012 and being promoted to a Chief Dispatcher, life happened. Jeremy found himself not able to provide for his oldest son’s college tuition and that is the event that lit the flame that turned into a whole inferno. Jeremy got licensed again in 2015, closed forty-one transactions in his first year while still holding down a career at the railroad. He realized it was time to leave the railroad and closed seventy-eight transactions the first year he was able to completely dedicate time to building his real estate business. He joined forces with Venessa in the beginning of 2016 and the rest is history.
Today Jeremy and Venessa run The Smith Team out of Keller, TX. Jeremy is a coach, mentor, and friend to many in the industry. His experience and leadership skills make him a great choice for a business partner. He is also an investor in buy-and-hold properties and looking toward getting his private pilot license.
When not working Jeremy enjoys working out, tactical firearm training, and spending time with his beloved family.
