It’s a major area highway that connects with San Francisco, about 28 miles south, and Santa Rosa, about 32 miles north. Those who prefer rail travel can catch the SMART train about 3 miles away at Novato Hamilton station. The train shuttles passengers from Larkspur all the way to Santa Rosa and the Sonoma County Airport.
