Diverse East Bay neighborhood near freeways, Alameda and San Francisco
Located in East Oakland, Fremont is a bustling multi-cultural community with nearby parks, transportation options and views of the Diablo Mountain foothills. The neighborhood occupies a small area that resembles a shark fin on a map, giving Fremont a series of roads that break away from most cities’ grid patterns. Six miles from downtown Oakland, the community is near Alameda and less than 20 miles from San Francisco. "Living in Fremont, you're really close to the Fruitvale BART Station and the Laurel District. It's a great location for the price. The homes are on the affordable side for the city," says Realtor Lauren Quach of Compass Real Estate, who has been selling in the Bay Area for six years.
