Order their brisket and have your side of candied yams or mac and cheese, with a bit of cornbread.

Residents are less than two miles from the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, home to the Major League Baseball team, the Oakland Athletics. The Oakland Arena is where locals go for concerts. Major musical artists like Adele and Paul McCartney have performed here.

Residents are also close to the Oakland Zoo, which is only a few miles away from their neighborhood. The zoo is home to more than 850 native and exotic animals. Take the gondola up the hill of the California Trail to see the beauty of the Bay Area. Kids can meet and greet the goats and sheep at the park’s petting yard.
