Although it is less than three miles from downtown Oakland, Longfellow’s own little quirks should not be overlooked. It holds a special local history, with its role in the civil rights movement. It has several restaurants that cater to many different palates and may inspire some new ones. It even has an interesting neighbor to the west: Pixar Animation Studios. "There’s a real community feel and it’s very diverse," says Compass Realtor Andrea Gordon. "There's some fun shops on Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and some nice restaurants. You’re also right by the freeway and it’s an easy commute to San Francisco."
