Luis's Coffee Shop is just outside of the neighborhood, known for its made-from-scratch breakfast offerings. Around these restaurants are small businesses like retail stores, beauty salons and nail salons. For groceries and other household items, there’s a nearby Cardenas Market, a Mexican grocery store, known for its juice bar and homemade tortillas, or the neighborhood Shop Rite Supermarket.

Multiple bus stops and next to Interstate 580
There are several Alameda-Contra Costa Transit bus stops in the area for getting around East Oakland and to the BART Fruitvale Station, where light rail routes lead as far north as Richmond and as south as San Jose.
