Rolling Hills was pre-plotted with acre lots, and most are still that size. The oldest homes include ranch-style and manufactured houses built between the 1970s and 1990s. Prices span a broad range. The trailhead is nearby on Marion County Road 484, guiding local hikers, bikers and horseback riders through over 8,000 acres of swamp and pinelands. Its southside stretches the banks of the Withlacoochee River, popular for fishing. Kids can learn to hunt at Ross Prairie State Forest, less than 10 miles away. National destination Rainbow Springs State Park is just over 10 miles away with waterfalls and crystal-clear springs, sought-after for snorkeling.
