Attractive O'ahu homes managed by multiple housing associations
Ocean Pointe is first and foremost a planned community. Since 1998, it has been the site of over 50 single- and multi-story homes. "They are relatively newer constructions built in the late 90s to early 2000s. What sets them apart is their different floor plans and paint schemes. They tend to have gabled roofs and a Colonial kind of feel," Magbual says. Palm trees and vibrant green lawns decorate the yards, which are often ringed with fences that provide both security and decoration.
The median price for a home is $1 million, and a property will typically sit on the market for 99 days, which is more than double the national average period. "A lot of people from the mainland like Ocean Pointe because the homes are a bit bigger, and it reminds them of the ones on the mainland. The community is largely run by the Ocean Pointe Residential Association, although there are also 8 sub-associations that manage residential affairs. "The HOA keeps everything a certain way, and it helps people feel that they’re in a safe, clean neighborhood," Magbual adds. HOA fees range in price from around $115 to $300 a month.

I've been a headhunter for a large multinational management consulting firm in Taiwan, a GM of a small retail organization, managed a medical practice, and directed e-marketing and promotions for small, local companies.
