A rural atmosphere close to city life
Just 18 miles from downtown Oklahoma City, or "OKC" to locals, Chapel Creek is a quiet suburb bordering the edges of the city. The neighborhood’s homeowner’s association includes common spaces and a community pool, so residents have amenities just a short walk from their homes. “It’s a small community with all your suburban trademarks, like the quiet streets and rural atmosphere,” says Realtor Della Runnels with eXp Realty and former Chapel Creek resident. With major motorways just a short drive away, the Chapel Creek community has excellent parks, schools and restaurants within reach while maintaining a peaceful, suburban lifestyle.
Three-car garages and walkable streets
Homes in Chapel Creek are brick-and-stone New Traditional Craftsman houses built in the early 2000s. Most homes showcase three-car garages and wide driveways as the main feature, with front entrances tucked away. Some young trees dot small front lawns, and masonry mailboxes match the brick homes. “A lot of the older neighborhoods around here don’t have sidewalks, so the nice thing about Chapel Creek being newer is that it’s more walkable,” says Broker Becky Ivins with Movers Real Estate. Houses in the area typically range between $300,000 and $400,000 for almost 8,000 square-foot lots. Newer construction featuring homes built in the past year will sell for closer to $400,000.

Travel into the city via the Northwest Expressway
Chapel Creek feels quiet because of its residential makeup. “There’s not a lot of through traffic,” Runnels says. “You really only turn down here if you live here.” When residents want to get out, the Northwest Expressway to the south connects the community to downtown OKC and is lined with fast-food chains. West Hefner Road runs east to west, linking residents with Lake Hefner and surrounding communities. John Kilpatrick Turnpike is to the north. Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is just over 5 miles away.
The yet to be opened pedestrian cross walk makes it easier for everyone to shop up and down the NW Expressway.

Harvest Hills Park offers walking paths and a playground for visitors, with baseball fields and basketball goals for athletes. In the summer, kids can play in the splash pad.
