The subdivisions of Oakcliff-Parkview
Nestled on either side of South Sunnylane Road, within 3 miles of Interstate 35 and Interstate 240, Oakcliff-Parkview is composed of four subdivisions: Oakcliff, Oakwood II, Highland Park and Parkview. Within the four small communities are mostly 1970s and 1980s-era ranch-style homes. Many feature brick exteriors and spacious backyards enclosed by tall privacy fences. Baird notes that one of her recent listings, a three-bedroom painted brick ranch in Oakcliff, was “remodeled down to the studs” not too long before going on the market but that many homes here maintain their original charm. “You won’t find too many homes that have been updated to such a great extent here, but updates do bring a little more value,” she says. Home prices in Oakcliff-Parkview range from around the $100,000 mark to close to $225,000, typically hovering just under the median for the city. Baird notes that those on the upper end of the price spectrum tend to be larger, four-bedroom homes with attached garages and freshly renovated kitchens.
