Lakeside living meets family-friendly serenity

Orangetree has been offering a quiet retreat from Naples' since 2004. This growing community, roughly 23 miles from downtown Naples and Gulf Coast beaches, draws families with top-rated schools like Corkscrew Elementary and Palmetto Ridge High. Set along Collier County's Immokalee Road, "Commuter traffic is really the only negative for those who prefer a slow-paced suburb like this," says Serafin Sanchez, local Realtor with The Keyes Company. "You have your essentials within the community. Shopping and dining is limited for now but it's growing." Planned subdivisions hug small lakes here, offering fishing piers and waterfront views. Despite Orangetree's removed ambiance, residents come together for seasonal festivals, explore trails at Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park.

Mediterranean-style homes and lakefront living

With a median home price around $540,000, Orangetree’s housing stock includes townhomes and condos alongside single-family homes. Mediterranean and New Traditional-style homes are set in planned subdivisions like Orange Blossom, Valencia Lakes and the gated Waterways community, all generally built around the early 2000s. Palm-lined streets with sidewalks connect single-family homes featuring tile or shingle roofs, screened lanais, and—in lakefront lots—private fishing piers. Most of these subdivisions have shared features such as a community pool, playground, basketball court, and fishing pier, while sidewalk-lined streets make each community walkable.

New road expansion and I-75 access

Immokalee Road is the community's main thoroughfare, leading to downtown Naples and Naples Beach in about 24 miles. Rush hour traffic is often the top complaint among commuters traveling the road, but the Vanderbilt Beach Road Extension — set to be completed by fall 2025 — aims to ease congestion on Immokalee and provide better east-west access. Residents also benefit from quick connections to Interstate 75 for regional travel. The closest major airport is Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, and the nearest hospital is Physicians Regional Medical Center on Pine Ridge Road in Naples.
