A suburban pocket brimming with 1970s charm
Williamsburg is a small residential neighborhood about 14 miles from downtown Orlando, surrounded by some of the city's most notable attractions: Sea World, Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. But even as these parks continue to grow and change, Williamsburg retains the same suburban charm it's had since it was established in the 1970s. Named after William Jaird Levitt, whose Levittown neighborhoods became the archetype of suburban living, Williamsburg captures that same charm as those post-WWII communities thanks to its homes that sit close together, attractive manicured lawns and abundant sidewalks. “People tend to stay in Williamsburg for a long time,” says David Myers, a broker associate with Ziro Realty who sells throughout Central Florida. “You still have original owners that live there who have developed friendships over time.”

Ranch-style, bungalows and contemporary homes throughout
Most homes in Williamsburg are ranch-style or bungalows, built between the 1970s and 1990s, with a few more contemporary builds from the early 2000s scattered throughout. Many of them feature two-car garages and barrel tile roofs. Front lawns are manicured and dotted with small palm trees and shrubs. Sidewalks line the quiet, residential streets. Prices range from $275,000 for a two-bedroom ranch-style house to $630,000 for a four-bedroom contemporary build. Regarding crime, Williamsburg scores a 4 out of 10 on the CAP Index, the same as the national average.
