Southern Oxnard community

Anchored by a renowned community college, the College Estates community offers many nearby amenities and residential comforts. The community is located about 3 miles from the central areas of Oxnard and is conveniently located near public transportation and major roads that make it easy to get around the area. College Estates is centered by Oxnard College and College Park and offers proximity to a wealth of shops and dining options. “It’s a very commutable area,” says Monica Payer, broker with Shoreline Real Estate. “You get a lot of people who like the proximity to Los Angeles, and the house prices are far below than properties in LA and Orange County, so you get better value for your money.”

An array of housing options

Short residential roads are lined with single-family homes, with some condominium buildings parsed throughout the area as well. Many of the properties in the area were built in the late 1960s into the 70s, but prospective buyers can find some homes that were built in the 90s as well. Houses in the area have recently sold between $650,000 and $840,000 with options ranging from homes with contemporary architecture and tiled roofing to ranchers that sit on spacious lots. Condos often come with modern amenities and offer great proximity to the neighborhood's amenities.
