The marina is often the site of fun local events, from holiday boat parades to summer concerts. When locals crave nature, they can explore the unique flora and fauna of the nearby Channel Islands National Park, just a short boat ride away. Right off the harbor is Peninsula Park, a quaint local park offering harbor views, tennis courts and a children's recreation area.

Toppers Pizza, HC Seafood and Spudnuts Donuts are other popular neighborhood eateries. On Sundays, residents can bike or walk to the Channel Islands Harbor Farmers Market, where local farmers, fishermen and vendors sell their wares. When it comes to shopping, the nearby Mandalay Village Marketplace offers a variety of retailers for everyday needs, from groceries to pet supplies.
