The trail-woven Stroh Ranch neighborhood is first time buyer friendly

Stroh Ranch's residential areas are stitched together by trails and sidewalks just south of Downtown Parker. “A lot of those subdivisions in those Parker corridors, besides being so close to retail and restaurants, offer great parks and walking space,” says Holly Payne, a broker with Madison & Company Properties, who has served the Denver metro for over 25 years. “As the Denver market ebbs and flows price-wise, Stroh Ranch offers many different price ranges and is a good starter area for buyers.”

Neighborhood parks with trails, an equestrian park and soccer fields

The Anthology and Creekside subdivisions both have neighborhood playgrounds and open space. Creekside also has tennis courts, a basketball court, and a recreation center with an indoor and outdoor pool. The Stroh Ranch Soccer Fields are in the neighborhood’s southern region, where trails connect it to nearby subdivisions and the Cherry Creek Trail. This bike-friendly path totals over 8 miles, running north and south through Stroh Ranch, next to an equestrian trail. Horseback riding is a popular pastime in Parker, with its various open spaces and designated facilities, such as the Salisbury Equestrian Park and Sports Complex just north of the neighborhood. As is true for many rural regions of Parker with abundant natural space, Stroh Ranch also has an elevated wildfire risk.

Interstate access, toll road travel and drives down Parker Road

Hess Road is a local thoroughfare that runs east and west and is the link between the neighborhood and Denver, about 30 miles north. “For the longest time, we didn't have much access to Interstate 25, but now, with Hess Road taking you out, you’ve got more options to get yourself to Extension 470 (E-470) or I-25,” Payne says. Extension 470 is a toll road to the Denver International Airport, about 35 miles away, with direct flights internationally. Hess Road also intersects Parker Road, a local thoroughfare tying Stroh Ranch to Downtown Parker. “They haven’t brought the light rail over there yet, but as it expands, that accessibility will become easier," she says.

Farther north on Parker Road, Parker Pavilions retail center has national retailers, such as Kohl’s, and restaurant chains, including fast food and dine-in. Downtown Parker’s Mainstreet is a walkable district that is also nearby, with locally owned shops, boutiques and restaurants.
