For 25 years, dozens of merchants have set up stands along Louisiana Avenue to sell fresh produce and artisan goods, rain or shine. The weekly market is held in Perrysburg’s historic downtown along the Maumee River, where businesses close by 10 p.m., and trains roll through several times a day. “While it has a small-town feel, Perrysburg has a lot of things to do and is close to Toledo,” says Realtor Felipe Gonzalez, who sells homes in the city with Danberry Realtors. “It’s a good combination of country and city."
The blend of small-town living in a busy city of 25,000 people appeals to homebuyers, along with a highly rated school district and home prices below the national median.
