Schools and community are major draws to La Salle
Located within Piedmont, the so-called “City of Millionaires,” La Salle shares in the rest of the city’s opulent, relaxed atmosphere. But make no mistake, while the houses are stately and grand and the streets generally quiet this small corner of eastern Piedmont is an active one. It borders well-trodden hiking trails and sits just blocks away from major shopping and transportation conveniences. Realtor Stacey Isaacs with Compass says that "people come for the schools and stay for the community.”

Large lots with spacious homes
La Salle’s streets double as a gallery of housing styles; ranch-style homes sit beside Spanish Revival houses and regal, Georgian and Tudor-style residences. "All the houses are different here, and there's some remarkable architecture that draws buyers because of its uniqueness," Isaacs says. Homes under 3,500 square feet vary in price from $1.8 million to $3.6 million, while those between 3,500 and 5,000 square feet range from $3.2 million to $4.1 million. La Salle’s hilly terrain means that many houses have panoramic views of Oakland and the San Francisco Bay, while large lot sizes translate into lush front gardens and spacious back yards.
