"It’s difficult to find traditional buyers right now because property values are decreasing. First-time homebuyers aren’t willing to take the risk that the value of their property won’t increase down the road.” Many properties are in poor condition. Renters can often find homes in Pine Lawn simply because qualified homebuyers are not purchasing there currently.

Skate King and Barrett Brothers Park
While there are no municipal parks within the boundaries of Pine Lawn, there are several nearby parks and athletic amenities. Skate King is on Kienlen Avenue and offers roller skating, an arcade, a pro shop and a snack bar. Barrett Brothers Park is located just southeast of the neighborhood on Goodfellow Boulevard. It offers 13 acres, a playground and baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and football fields.
