Pinewood is a residential community of just over 17,000 residents, under 10 miles from downtown Miami and popular South Florida beaches. It's bordered by Interstate 95 to the east, allowing easy access to popular Miami neighborhoods and touristy cities like Fort Lauderdale. Pinewood's modest, mid-20th-century homes are growing in popularity. "It's unincorporated Miami-Dade, so there are not as many restrictions as to what you can and can't do with your house and property, which is a big draw," says local Realtor Sergio Carrasco of Keller Williams Capital Realty. He's sold homes across the region for a couple of years. "A lot of people are moving here. It's up-and-coming." The largest industries in Pinewood are food service/accommodation and healthcare.

Days at the newly renovated Arthur Woodard Park
