Legacy
Every brand under the Texas sun is steps away from Legacy
Legacy residents live just minutes from some of the most popular shopping destinations in the Metroplex. The Shops at Legacy on the east side of the Dallas North Tollway is home to brand-name stores such as Tommy Bahama, Urban Outfitters and Kendra Scott, plus plenty of dining options. Across the highway is Legacy West, an open-air mall offering a wide array of dining options, from local haunts to national chains. Abuwardeh says that Earl's Kitchen and Bar has become a popular place to dine. The restaurant has an upscale take on burgers and comfort food, plus an extensive beer, wine and cocktail list. Another hot spot is Haywire, a multi-level restaurant with a whiskey bar on the first floor, a dining room on the second floor, and a rooftop patio. It is most well-regarded for its Chicken Fried Steak. The theme of restaurants with multiple floors continues at Legacy Hall. With over 20 spots to grab a bite or a bar to enjoy a cocktail, it’s become a bustling hub for family and friends. While Legacy Mart sells the most common convenience store items, residents can hit Walmart and Sam’s Club near Stonebriar Centre, 2 miles away. Stonebriar has over 200 stores, including Dillard’s and Macy’s, and family-friendly entertainment like an AMC theater, Dave and Busters and an antique carousel. The mall is so expansive that a shuttle service picks up shoppers from the parking garage and drops them off at the entrance.Condos and high-rises amid Legacy's retail and entertainment
Most of the neighborhood’s residents are renters, as Legacy consists of more retail and office space than it does apartments or homes combined. Most residences are townhomes with brick and stone exteriors and built-in garages. These communities often have a small green space in the middle, offering residents a place to gather or relax. A three-bedroom townhome typically costs between $650,000 and $1.3 million. Condos are often in luxury high-rise buildings towering over the rest of the neighborhood. They frequently come with balconies and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Residents can access concierge services, fitness centers and private lounges. Luxury condos are typically priced between $1 million and $5 million.Highly rated Plano and Frisco ISDs
Legacy students will be part of either the Plano Independent School District or the Frisco Independent School District. Students in the Frisco district can attend Spears Elementary School and Clark Middle School, which share an A from Niche. Lebanon Trail High receives an A+ overall rating from Niche. The school has been around since 2016 and has already received recognition for its band, one-act play and orchestra, advancing to the state finals for competitions in each program.Scarce outdoor recreation in the Legacy neighborhood
For outdoor activities, it's a short drive to Windhaven Meadows Park, a vast green space with a 2-mile walking trail that winds through open meadows and connects to longer trails throughout Plano. The Liberty Playground, a universal playground designed to offer inclusive play for children of all abilities, has various activities spread out on a 20,000-square-foot synthetic turf surface. An array of festivals marked off on Legacy residents' calendars
Every March, Plano hosts the Texas Forever Fest, which features classic festival food and live entertainment. Other popular festivals include the Plano Balloon Festival, AsiaFest and the Plano International Festival. Multiple landmarks, such as the Heritage Farmstead Museum and the Interurban Railway Museum, which is dedicated to the Texas Electric Railway, put Plano on the map.
Getting in and around Legacy
Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway provide easy access to the rest of the Metroplex. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is roughly 19 miles away and provides a railway service directly to downtown. Frisco is less than 5 miles away, and Fort Worth is a 43-mile drive southwest. For all medical needs, Village Health Partners at West Plano Medical Village is 2 miles away.
