Luxury living in a fast-growing city

Bordered by the scenic White Rock Creek, Spring Creek is a densely populated suburban community offering bustling shopping strips, high-performing schools and lots of natural charm. The general Spring Creek area consists of several small areas like Preston Springs, Preston Meadows and Wellington Run. The surrounding community of Plano is one of the fastest-growing areas in Texas, thanks to companies like FedEx and Frito-Lay setting up their headquarters in the city. Plano is also filled with public art venues, and neighbors come together for annual events like the Plano Balloon Festival every September. “Although it’s a suburb, it has city vibes,” says Kimberly Woodard, a Realtor with Ebby Halliday Realtors and a Dallas-area native. “You don’t even have to leave Plano to get what you need. At your fingertips, you have stores, shopping galore, a lot of big-name corporations, and a five-course dinner. But you still have a small-town vibe even in a very large city.”

Custom builds await at Lakeside on Preston

Most homes in Spring Creek were built in the 1990s and early 2000s and share common design features like sand-tone brick, multi-tiered roofs and covered patios overlooking small, manicured lawns. On the southwestern corridor of town, luxury developments like Lakeside on Preston and El Ranchero Estates host expansive custom builds with extra features like private front gates and resort-style backyard pools. Single-family homes in Spring Creek range from $600,000 up to $1 million, while custom luxury properties can range between $1 million and $4 million. Available houses can be hard to find, but new homebuyers tend to become long-term residents. “Plano is very desirable and our inventory is very low,” Woodard says. “Because it’s so desirable, we have people who have been here forever and aren’t moving because they love it.”
