Watters Creek
The Courses at Watters Creek is the heart of the community
The Courses at Watters Creek is at the heart of the community. Its 6,000-acre rolling hills, scenic lake and towering tree canopy offer a nice escape in the middle of the suburban sprawl. The public venue offers three different courses, perfect for beginner or seasoned golfers, a practice facility and a variety of leagues. It’s one of the most popular courses in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and hosts over 200 events a year.Besides golf, residents can enjoy the outdoors at the neighborhood’s High Point Park. The green space offers 10 ballfields, six soccer fields and a variety of other multi-purpose fields to please any sports enthusiast. Endfield Park sits just above High Point Park and is a home run for all baseball fans and players – boasting nine ballfields for public and league use.
For a deeper trek into nature, residents can easily reach an expansive preserve in 3 miles, whether traveling north or south. A 72-acre refuge, Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve sits just north of the community and boasts over 3 miles of meadow trails filled with wildflowers and wildlife. Leading to this preserve is The Trail at the Woods, a network of nine densely forested unpaved trails surrounding a creek. Dayspring Nature Preserve is also north of Watters Creek, perfect for hiking and mountain biking. The preserve also offers a playground and picnic tables.
Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve is just a short drive south of the neighborhood and is the largest park in Plano. At 800 acres, residents can hike or bike 8 miles of trails, kayak or cast a line in the 16-acre lake at the center of the preserve. Beyond that, several trails are all within 5 miles of Watters Creek.

This resort-style mixed-use development offers a variety of dining options, from The Lion & Crown Pub, an English-style restaurant and bar, to Village Burger Bar and Shivas Bar and Grill, an upscale Indian eatery. The shopping center also has big-name department stores, craft retailers and clothing boutiques. Most homes were built in the early 1990s and range from $415,000 to $870,000. The neighborhood also offers two-bedroom townhouses in the Chase Oaks Village subdivision starting at $350,000 with access to a community pool.Homebuyers can expect three-bedroom, 1,400-square-foot homes on the lower end and five-bedroom, 4,500-square-foot homes on the highest end. Homes in the Chase Oaks subdivision, which backs up to the Courses at Watters Creek, are also some of the higher-priced homes for their proximity to the golf course, large pools and views. And with homes selling after 35 days on the market, newcomers shouldn’t wait too long to snap up a property. “The housing marketing is fluctuating. Right now, we are still seeing multiple offers on properties,” Wyatt says. Many homes here have large bay windows, multi-car garages and beautifully landscaped lawns.
