Suburban Plantation enclave

Plantation Park sits on the southeast side of Plantation, not far from Fort Lauderdale. “It’s a traditional neighborhood with single-family homes,” says Thomas Sons, a Keller Williams Realtor with a decade of experience buying and selling in the area. He observes that its classic suburban vibe and location convenient to parks, highways and other amenities are what draw homebuyers to the neighborhood.

Single-family home prices on par with the Plantation median

Plantation Park’s short and rambling ranch-style homes sell for between about $515,000 and $850,000. At just over $660,000, the neighborhood’s median sale price is on par with the city’s. Most homes were built in the early ‘60s, with earth-toned stucco and Spanish terracotta-inspired roofing. “A lot are getting updated inside and out. It’s a nice trend to see investors moving in and flipping them, making them affordable and livable for young families,” Sons says.
