The wide, tree-lined neighborhood streetscapes feature nicely paved sidewalks and are filled with common housing styles such as Mediterranean and ranch styles. Many homes were built as far back as the 1960s, but there are some newer constructions here as well. “It’s an established neighborhood, so there are mostly older homes that people tend to remodel when they buy,” Wood says. “And the homes are selling really quickly. I’d say they’re usually on the market for 6-10 days.” Home sizes vary from about 1,250 to 6,170 square feet, and lot sizes can range from 3,500 square feet to 1.3 acres.

Historical landmark parks and expansive hiking trails

The Alviso Adobe Community Park features an original 1854 house, offering historic kids' camps and programs. The house is registered as a California Historical Landmark and is a rare example of an early adobe home that was actually in use through the 1960s. The 7-acre park also has a replica of an old dairy building and interactive displays of local, historical culture. Meadowlark Park features sand volleyball and basketball courts, a playground and a paved walking trail. Stoneridge Shopping Center is located within the neighborhood, a popular shopping destination with 150-plus stores like Macy’s and Apple and national chain restaurants such as the Cheesecake Factory.
