Meadowlark Park features sand volleyball and basketball courts, a playground and a paved walking trail. Foothill-Pleasanton is notable for being surrounded by vast regional outdoor spaces to the west, with numerous trails, including the 2-mile Ridgeline Trail and the 4-mile Castleridge Trail. The more expansive 5,271-acre Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park sits to the south. Students in Foothill-Pleasanton may attend Lydiksen Elementary School, which receives an A rating from Niche, followed by the A-plus-rated Pleasanton Middle School. The school has been recognized as a California Distinguished School and National Blue Ribbon California nominee and offers numerous AP courses and dual enrollment classes.West Pleasanton BART Station and next to Interstate 680
Foothill-Pleasanton is bordered by Interstate 680 to the east, which leads to poplular destinations like Downtown San Francisco, which is about 40 miles away. The West Pleasanton BART Station is conveniently next to the Stoneridge Shopping Center for light rail traveling or commuting around the Bay Area. Stoneridge Shopping Center is located within the neighborhood, a popular shopping destination with 150-plus stores like Macy’s and Apple and national chain restaurants such as the Cheesecake Factory. The neighborhood is near many other shopping and dining options, particularly those located just east across the highway along Hopyard Road. This thoroughfare is lined with numerous eateries, including Draft Sports Pub, a popular community spot for watching a game with a full bar and pub fare. Next door is the Cheese Steak Shop. It’s known for its Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks and hoagies, with ingredients sourced directly from Philadelphia bakeries. Further south along Hopyard Road is Bills Café, a classic American restaurant that serves breakfast and brunch. Lucky’s Supermarket is less than a mile west for grocery staples, and there’s a Safeway right next to the highway on Bernal Avenue.
