Spanning over 34 square miles, the township has a population of just 1,500 people, offering its residents a quiet, laid-back lifestyle far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Springhill Township homes come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Celebrated among residents for its breakfast steaks and homemade desserts, the roadside eatery is a convenient spot for a quick bite. You can also stop by Bullfeathers for a burger and fries.
Car travel for groceries and access to U.S. Route 119
Residents will need to travel 7 miles north to Fairchance to visit the nearest grocery store. For fresh meats and produce, stop by Shop 'n Save off West Church Street. You can also head to the Family Dollar in Smithfield for other essentials. With little to no traffic in the area, locals will never need to worry about congested highways and noisy streets. Downtown Pittsburgh is a 60-mile drive from Springhill Township, though residents do have access to U.S. Route 119, which runs directly through the township.
Fishing and hiking at Cheat Lake Park
To spend time outdoors, township residents often travel 6 miles south for a day at Cheat Lake Park. Stationed just beyond the Pennsylvania-West Virginia border, the park offers a 4.5-mile hiking and biking trail, along with a swimming beach and playground. Containing a wide array of fish from largemouth and smallmouth bass to catfish and crappies, Cheat Lake is also a popular gathering spot for local fishermen.
Fright Farm is a Halloween destination
When the spooky season arrives, Springhill Township comes alive. Around Halloween, residents come in droves to visit Rich Farms' seasonal Fright Farm for a night of fun — and horror. One of the top haunted attractions in Pennsylvania, Fright Farm features a Hayride of No Return and a Frightmare Mansion, where guests are greeted by ghouls, goblins and everything in between.
