East Price Hill
Suburban Neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio
Hamilton County 45204, 45205
On top of the hill
The summit of Price Hill offers a couple of restaurants locally renowned for their food and views of the city and river. Primavista is known for its Italian cuisine, seafood and nightly specials. All sauces are made in-house, and vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. Incline Public House has gourmet sandwiches, pizzas and salads. The dining room features panoramic views of the downtown skyline, and if the weather allows, the restaurant’s deck seats 60 people and provides the ultimate view. Catch a show at the Warsaw Federal Incline Theater, with popular Broadway shows including Jersey Boys and Beautiful, the Carole King musical. BLOC Coffee Company is a non-profit that invests what it makes at the store back into the community.Art in the neighborhood
Cincinnati ArtWorks has contributed murals with various themes on the sides of area businesses. One is called “Ode to Joy,” and it is on the side of the Santa Maria Community Services’ East Price Hill Family Center. It provides the community with educational tools and resources to find employment and promote healthier lifestyles, and it’s also part of the neighborhood’s revitalization efforts. Another is called “Let All You Do Be Done With Love,” it’s on the side of a building at the corner of Elberon and Warsaw Avenues. Mural art is prominently displayed on a house called Casa Colina, a home with a wraparound mural that’s a popular selfie spot.Older homes
The houses go back to the late 1800s and early 1900s and are priced between $150,000 and $300,000. “Compared to other parts of Cincinnati, the homes here are of relatively great value,” Blersch says. “A newer construction townhouse I had under contract has about 2,000 square feet and is listed for $275,000.” Some older houses that need renovation will be under $100,000. Classic architectural styles include an Italianate row house, Foursquare and Cape Cod. Like the townhouse that Blersch mentions, there are some relatively newer homes from the 1990s in the neighborhood. According to the CAP index, the crime score for East Price Hill is a 7 out of 10, compared to the national average of 4. The neighborhood has made strides to improve safety over the past 10 to 15 years.Public schools have two in the chain

The Metro bus system traverses the neighborhood, including stops on 8th Street and Price Avenue, including the incline area. Stops at the top of the hill serve the Incline Theater, Primavista and the Incline Public House. The closest large medical facility across the river in Kentucky is St. Elizabeth Covington Hospital, about 5 miles away.Park space
The neighborhood has plenty of outdoor recreation activities, the largest being Mt. Echo Park, which has more than 80 acres and consists of hiking trails, basketball and tennis courts, and picnic shelters. Olden View Park is next to the Incline Public House on top of Price Hill, where scenic vistas can be seen of the downtown riverfront area, including Paycor Stadium and Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, respectively. There’s a playground and a small, paved walking trail at Glenway Park, and you can go deep into the forest at Glenway Nature Preserve.
