Suburban-country area with convenience of Highway 50
Tucked on the northwest end of Pueblo, Skyview is a residential community with a suburban ambiance south of Highway 50. The residential area carries homes with neat landscaping, and country elements like dead-end streets that overlook open land. “Highway 50 is a main road with lots of car dealers, hotels and fast-food places,” says Katie Ely, realtor at The Cutting Edge, Realtors who’s been selling around Pueblo for five years. Its location, 4 miles from downtown, is one of Skyview’s draws. Highway 50 links residents to various big box retailers. Residents can also enjoy the proximity and, in some instances, walkability to two schools.

Secluded area with investment and multi-family properties
Railroad tracks, government buildings and a state prison separate parts of Skyview from the surrounding areas. Those factors, plus its location on the northwest side of the city, make it one of Pueblo’s quieter neighborhoods. “There’s not much noise in that area,” Ely says. “While it’s bordered by Highway 50, that’s a multi-lane rural road with a lot of red lights.” Neighborhood feel in Skyview depends on location. The avenues north of 28th Street are suburban, with sidewalks, trees and grassy front yards. South of 29th Street offers a more country feel with dirt yards, chain-link fences and empty lots. Most homes were built between the 1940s and 1960s as either ranch, cottage or bungalow-style homes. These sell for $68,000 for investment properties and $315,000 for a move-in rancher. Single-family homes typically cost between $200,000 and $300,000, and multifamily homes are priced from $400,000 to $530,000.
